My path to Occupational Safety started in the U.S. Navy, where I served as a Master-At-Arms — work that instilled a level of discipline and attention to detail I’ve carried into every role since. After transitioning out of the service, I spent years in municipal code enforcement and facilities and security supervision, developing a sharp eye for hazards, procedural compliance, and clear documentation.
Today I work as a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC), with deep field experience in FRA Part 214 compliance and railroad Roadway Worker Protection rules — a role that demands zero tolerance for error in an environment where the margin for mistakes is razor-thin. That mindset is exactly what I’m looking to bring to a full-time EHS role in a high-consequence industry, where safety isn’t a checkbox but a core operational requirement.
I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety/Industrial Hygiene and working toward my Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential, building the formal foundation to match the field experience I already have.
